Welcome Dinner Speaker - The Rev. Kellie Wilson
Kellie Wilson is the Associate Priest for Faith Development at Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville, SC. She brings to the church a passion for preaching, teaching biblical literacy, forming Christian leaders, and equipping people to act as reconcilers in the world in Christ's name.
Prior to Christ Church, she served as the Canon for Christian Formation and Leadership Development in the Diocese of Upper SC; a Children, Family and Youth Minister at Holy Cross Episcopal in Simpsonville, SC; and as a Youth Minister at Church of the Redeemer, Greenville, SC. She currently serves as a Spiritual Director for the Happening National Committee and has served as a devotion writer for d365.org.
Kellie received an AA degree from Brevard College, NC; a BS degree in Management from Clemson University; and an MDiv from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. She graduated from all three with top honors.
Before beginning a vocation in the church, she worked at the Greenville Symphony Orchestra as their Ticketing, Marketing, and Development Director; the Commerce Club in Greenville, SC as their Member Relations Director; and the Greenville Ballet as their Executive Director.
Raised a Roman Catholic, Kellie came to join The Episcopal Church after a "God experience" while standing at the base of the Statue of Liberty.
Kellie is married to Steve. They have a son, Andrew, and two dogs, Twilight and Bailey. Kellie was honored when a former youth group member asked her to be a "Gigi" to her daughter. Therefore, Kellie also has a 14-month-old granddaughter named Olivia Grace.
Kellie's free time activities include watching Clemson Tiger football, reading, scrapbooking, water skiing, snow skiing, hanging out with her family, friends, godchildren, or granddaughter, and spending time outside in the sun.
