I was baptized and confirmed at St. Clements Episcopal Church in Hawthorne, New Jersey and married the love of my life at St. John’s in the Wilderness in Harriman, New York. We have two children and five wonderful grandchildren. My husband and I attend St. Mary’s Church in Dade City, Florida. A certified public accountant, I began my career at a large firm, Ernst & Young in New York City, had my own practice for fifteen years, and then worked many years in higher education administration as a vice president. I also enjoy teaching and have taught at several colleges and universities as an adjunct instructor.
I have a master’s degree in business administration and have completed the coursework for my doctoral degree in finance – all but the dissertation. In retirement, my passion is prison ministry. I have served several times on Kairos teams, mentor four women who are currently incarcerated, and have taught a variety of courses in the prison such as personal finance, employability, business concepts, responsible motherhood, and seven habits of highly effective people. I am currently teaching over 100 women to crochet in a program I introduced at the prison – all of the items they make are donated to charity.
Other interests include Lyrical Ladies (a singing and dancing group that performs in local nursing homes) and Celebrate Recovery (where I serve on the leadership team). I am honored to serve on the board as treasurer and look forward to working with my Episcopal sisters to empower us all to spread Christ’s love.
