An Update on the situation in Haiti
Dear Sisters,
This note is to tell you the Ecole le Bon Samaritain school is fine and not destroyed as first was reported.
Also Mona Millien was found and alright. I think she is coming to Stamford this weekend. But her husband, Jean-Elie Millien, who has been in the states for a medical appointment is leaving Monday for Haiti to see what damage has been done at the school and be with his people. He will be taking medical supplies with him.
Our Church, Old St Andrew's, Bloomfield, CT has been appointed in this area to lead and is forming a group of professionals, lay people from various churches, a few at a time to go for 5 days at a time to Carrefour; first to help Jean-Elie Millien to set up the school as a clinic for the people of that community and give them relief, second to repair the school, and third to recover the school. Jean-Elie Millien is getting a nurse to be there.
They are lucky because they have a generator and a water purifier.
The ECW of Old St Andrew's has donated $1000 to help them out, and are committed to do whatever it takes to help them get back on their feet and back to some stability.

I know there are many churches throughout the USA have deep connections in Haiti as we have. In time we will hear the stories of what what was done to help our brothers and sisters in Haiti with God's help.
Please keep Haiti in your prayers.
Blessings and Peace,
Shirley
